This is history
I've been using w3make for years and years and it just suited me fine. During my switch to Oddmuse I abandoned it (partly due to a new install of my homebox after ca. 5 years and missing the Java virtual machine for the saxon XSL(T) conversion). And I hate XSL(T) and XML anyway. Really. What a mess. Almost as bad as my code in this program.
Just in case
I really think that I am the only user of this program. Should you be in need of an utterly ugly piece of hackish Perl software I can send you a copy by mail.
Whoa, why don't leave it sitting here?
Because one of the big mistakes of Open Source Software according to my point of view is that old and abandoned software hangs around on private pages (and freshmeat, and sourceforge, and...) giving my a hard time figuring out whether the project is active, finished or dead. So: w3make is dead (unless someone steps up and says he's using it and wanting that other feature and want's to take over the mess^H^H^H^H code).
